Product Highlights

The NEC Express5800/120Ri-2 supports up to two QuadCore Intel Xeon 5300 series processors or up to two Dual-Core Intel Xeon 5100 series processors. Powered by the multi-core Intel Xeon processors that enable data-intensive processing, the 120Ri-2 delivers improved application preformance while achieving energy-efficient operation within the same physical space.

Delivering up to 48GB(4GB x12) of memory capacity, the 120Ri-2 employs DDR2-667 Fully - Buffered DIMM memory with ECC, Chipkill, mirroring, and on-line sparing capabilities.

To provide high-preformance internal storage, the 120Ri-2 supports Serial Attached SCSI(SAS), whith a maximum capacity of 1.8TB (300GB x6), and enables RAID 0 and 1 as standard and RAID 5 as option.

In addition to the Low Profile PCI slots (one PCI EXPRESS x8 slot and two x4 slots), the 120Ri-2 supports a wide variety of option boards to further customize the slot mix and to meet particular needs. By replacing the standard riser card (one PCI EXPRESS x8 slot and two 64bit/100MHz PCI-X slots, Full Height) with an optional riser card*, one of the following slot options becomes available:

• Two 64bit/133MHz PCI - X slots and one 64bit/100MHz PCI-x slot
• Three 64bit/33MHz PCI (5V) slots *Two different optional riser cards are available for 120Ri-2.

To ensure continuous system operation, hot-swap redundant power supplies and fans are supported as option.

To enhance RAS (Reliability, Availability and Servicesbility) functionality, the 120Ri-2 comes standard with the EXPRESSSCOPE Engine. This Feature allows the user to monitor the status of a managed server and operate its KVM (Keyboard, Video, and Mouse) devices from a remote console via LAN.

Bundled for easy system management, NEC ESMPROmonitors and controls system operation from the remote console, and assists the administrator in troubleshooting the system. For simple system installation, NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is attached as an installation support tool.
