The NEC Express5800/180Rf-3 features up to four Dual-Core Intel Xeon Processors 714ON (3.33GHz, 16MB L3 cache, 667MHz FSB) in its rack-optimized 3U slim chassis, allowing the user to scale up to an 8-way server (6U) by adding another 180Rf-3 is optimized for enterprise-class powerful processing environment.

Featuring DDR2-400 SDRAM memory with ECC and chipkill, the 180Rf-3 supports hot-plug memory mirroring standard, with a maximum capacity of 32 Gb (64GB in the 8- way configuration).

The NEC Express5800/180Rf-3 supports Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), allowing up to six hot-plug hard disk drives per system. A SAS disk array controller is equipped as standard to enable RAID5 on board without any additional cost.

The 180Rf-3 offers six 64bit/2600MHz PCI-X slots, and five of them are hot-swappable.

To enhance system reliability and availability, the 180Rf-3 comes standard with a remote management controller (RSAII), which enables server management and monitoring from a remote console.

NEC ESMPRO , bundled for easy system management, monitors and controls system operation from a remote console, and assists the system administrator in troubleshooting.

For simple system installation, NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is attached as an installation support tool.
